The QR code won’t scan, or the studio transfer throws an error

Almost every transfer error comes down to one thing: different accounts.

1. Are you on the same account?#

  1. Check which account you’re signed into in the studio.
  2. Check which account you’re signed into in the app on your phone.
  3. If they differ, match one to the other and try again.

2. Scan from the right place#

The most reliable way is to open the app and scan from My Invitation → Join. Your phone camera or a separate QR reader works too, but scanning from inside the app starts the transfer directly.

If the QR code won’t scan at all, try tapping the link the studio gave you on your phone; it starts the same transfer.

4. The screen and the camera#

  • Turn the screen brightness up — a dim screen can stop the code scanning.
  • Hold the phone about 15–20 cm away.
  • Scratches and glare on a screen protector make scanning harder; change the angle.

5. Have I lost my design?#

No. If you reloaded the page or lost your connection, the studio remembers your unfinished design and offers “Continue”. More: demo mode, watermarks and drafts.

My details didn’t come through after the transfer and I was asked to enter them again.
That’s normal if you went past the studio’s invitation details screen with placeholder data. Fill it in with your real details and everything carries over automatically.
Can I transfer from a different device?
Yes, as long as the same Apple or Google account is signed in on that device too.
None of this worked.
