Photos won’t upload, or the invitation won’t open

Two separate problems, similar checks: capacity first, then the connection.

2 min read Updated Troubleshooting

Photos won’t upload#

1. Check the capacity#

A free invitation holds 200 photos and 20 GB of video in total; premium holds 2,000 photos and 200 GB of video. Once the limit is reached, no further uploads are accepted. You can free up space by removing some items from the gallery screen.

2. The connection#

Uploading a lot of files, or large ones, needs a stable connection. Use Wi-Fi if you can, and don’t close the page while it’s uploading. On some devices the upload pauses when the screen turns off.

3. File size and format#

  • Very large video files can time out — try uploading them in parts.
  • Upload hundreds of photos in batches of 50–100 rather than all at once.
  • If you have trouble with the iPhone’s HEIC format, switch the camera setting to “Most Compatible” and try again.
  • If an upload stops halfway, what’s already uploaded isn’t lost; just try again with the rest.

If it still won’t work#

  1. Test with one small photo — if that won’t upload either, the problem is the connection, not the file.
  2. Try a different browser.
  3. Write to us, and don’t forget to attach a screenshot of the error message.
I uploaded it but it isn’t in the gallery.
Refresh the gallery screen. Uploaded content is listed on the gallery management screen.
My guest can’t upload.
Check that the capacity isn’t full, and make sure the QR code is scanning properly.
The upload gets stuck at a certain percentage.
That’s usually the connection dropping. Uploading in smaller batches is safer.
