The envelope opening animation and the seal color

When a guest taps the link, they first see a sealed envelope; it opens, and the invitation slides out. A small detail that makes the first impression.

What your guest sees#

The page doesn’t start with the content. A sealed envelope appears first, then it opens and the invitation slides out of it. It’s a small scene that puts the moment of pulling a printed invitation out of its envelope onto the screen.

The seal color#

The color of the seal is set in Vowlia Studio. You choose it while designing your own invitation; on ready-made templates the envelope comes as the designer made it and can’t be changed.

Match it to your theme

Burgundy wedding, burgundy seal; earth tones, something warmer — let the envelope and the invitation speak the same language.

Watch the contrast

The seal has to stand out against the envelope. A shade too close to it makes the seal disappear.

Check it in the preview

Once you’ve picked a color, watch the opening once in the studio preview; you’ll see it again in the web preview after transferring to the app.

Accessibility#

For guests who have “reduce motion” turned on, the animation simplifies itself automatically. That isn’t a fault — it’s what respecting the operating system’s accessibility setting looks like, and the invitation still opens perfectly.

Can I change the envelope on a ready-made template?
No. On ready-made templates the envelope and seal are part of the design. To choose your own seal, use Vowlia Studio.
Does the animation play every time?
The opening scene greets your guest when the invitation is viewed; they can tap to skip past it if they want.
Does the guest’s name appear on the envelope?
No. The invitation link is the same for everyone, so there’s no personalized name on the envelope. You can add that personal touch in the message you send.
Can I change the seal color later?
You can change it as often as you like while designing in the studio. Once the invitation has been created in the app, though, none of its fields can be edited.
